WHO WE ARE

The Bengali Association was formed in the year 2002 and is a registered association (Regd. No. 189/2002) with the support of eight core members, with an intention of building a promising and sound socio-cultural platform for the Bengalis settled in and around Coimbatore. Mr. Anutosh Guha, an IFS Officer was the first President of our association. The association received a boost to its image by the efforts of a dynamic person Mr. Subrata Barik, President, who with all his distinct style brought new zest and colour to the image of the association. He was equally supported by Mr. Swaroop Kumar Chattopadhyay, Secretary, remembered for his intellectuality and few other members like Pinaku Das, Mr. Biswajit Paul, Mr. Vikenanda Pal, Mr. Ayan Chatterjee, and other Senior Members like Mr. Mr. Purushottam Purohit, Mr. Himadri Mukherjee’s experiences has always been the pillar of strength for the association.
